"THE FAMILY DANCE SCHOOL, WHERE DANCE IS FUN!"

WELCOME! WE LOVE KIDS!

Did you know...Reading, writing, and math skills are enhanced by the arts; Kids involved in the arts have higher SAT(verbal & math) scores; Young people who participate in the arts are more likely to be recognized for academic achievement or win an award for writing an essay or poem? It's true, so come and learn today!

Since 1969, our mission at the Dance Workshop has been to instruct dance in a disciplined, yet joyful way. We strive to provide a happy, healthy, and positive learning environment for our students. Young children, who are new to dance, can take a 1-hour class of basic Ballet, Tumbling, and Tap. Also, they can take a Hip Hop class or a Pop Stars class. The Pop Stars class will teach them performing skills, singing, & dancing. As students get older, we offer 1-hour classes in Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Vocal Lessons, and Performing Groups. Our teachers are super nice and want you to learn to dance! We also have a great teacher here on the weekends, Phil Adams, who teaches swing, two-step, ballroom, salsa, etc.-see his website, philadamsdance.com, for his exact schedule. We are taking class lists for Tiny Tots, Adult Latin & Salsa, Cheer & Acrobatics, Kids Hip Hop,, Kids Lyrical, and Kids Musical Theater.

Did you know that we have plenty of table space here at the studio for your kids to do their homework?!

Some of the groups that have rehearsed in our dance space are: "Pacific Coast Hunnies"; "Platinum Angels"; Hok & Dominic from "MTV's America's Best Dance Crew"; Lacey Schwimmer from "So You Think You Can Dance" & "Dancing With The Stars"; dancer & singer, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle from "Fame" & The Disney Channel; "Yamaha School of Music"; Acting Workshops by Summer; Chinese Classical Dance Group- "Rainbow Fantasy"; and City Recreation Classes. The wonderful photographer, Rick Elias, has taken photos here for the "I Want To Be A Ballerina" calendar, which featured our teacher, Miss Cari & her daughter, Devyn. Call if you're interested in using our space to rehearse or for photography.

The first class for newly enrolled students is complimentary, no obligation! Our floors are “raised & cushioned”, designed especially for jumping & leaping. We are proud of our commitment to a tidy and well-organized facility and our efforts to provide personal attention in a non-competitive atmosphere. Our instructors are well qualified, knowledgeable and sincerely enjoy teaching dance. Please, come see for yourself.

Our dancers and their families are extremely meaningful to us and we are always available for questions, just give us a call or send us an email. 562-402-6878/ This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
